All of my macrame hangings are done on driftwood from Whidbey Island in Washington State. I use nylon and cotton cord, but like the nylon best because of the color range. Each of the macrame hangings have a centerpiece, which I have used a variety of beads and silk ends to embroider around. The centerpieces are polymer pieces by KLEW, Dichroic glass pieces by several artists and dyed silk ends with beads. I give the overall size and the actual macrame size with a picture of each macrame piece.
