Kachina Carver
Kachina Carver

This painting was picked to be in Best of America Watermedia Artists, vol. II, by Kennedy Publishing.  The photograph for this picture was taken at the "Dons Trek" in the Superstition Mts. outside of Phoenix Arizona about 1961.  I don't know if they still have the trek, but back then they had all types of Native American activities for us to watch and participate in.  One activity was watching this man carve Kachina Dolls.  The Dons Trek is something that I will remember for the rest of my life - it was fabulous - thanks Mom and Dad!  Unframed size is 23 x 30.  The price is $2100 and you will have to call me for arrangements.
